Fahimda is the daughter of a former Afghan police officer whose life was torn apart when the Taliban returned to power in 2021. Her father received death threats and went into hiding, leaving his family without protection or support. Fahimda and her siblings were living in a remote valley in Nuristan, where they endured hunger, poverty, and the constant threat of Taliban violence. For a young girl, the future was terrifying—education was out of reach, and the risk of forced marriage was always near.
Today, Fahimda’s life has changed. She now lives safely at Shokofa’s caring home in Islamabad with 20 other girls, where she goes to school and experiences love and stability for the first time. With sponsorship, Fahimda can continue her education and build a future free from fear. Your support gives her more than food and shelter—it gives her hope and the chance to grow into an educated, independent young woman.
You have the opportunity to sponsor one or multiple Afghan girls from our orphanages. Your sponsorship provides vital financial support for their education, including tuition fees, and essential living expenses such as rent, food, healthcare, clothing, utilities, and more. To ensure continuous education and care, we kindly encourage sponsors to consider annual contributions.
As a sponsor, you can build a meaningful connection with your sponsored child through letters and video calls. You also have the option to visit the orphanage and meet her in person. We will keep you updated on her progress, education, daily life, and activities, ensuring you play an ongoing role in her journey toward a brighter and successful future.
